Soil & Rock Testing

  • Soil testing to determine the soil undrained shear strength and/or relative density using a Dynamic Cone Penetrometer (DCP), Pocket Penetrometer, or Shear Vane.
  • If rock is encountered, a hammer is used to assess its strength. If it is found to be critical, a lump sample is collected for Point Load testing.
  • This is undertaken at our NATA accredited laboratory and is used to to determine the rock Unconfined Compressive Strength.
  • A soil testing report is prepared outlining the findings
