Sydney Metro West will connect Greater Parramatta and the Sydney CBD, reshaping how people move across one of Sydney’s fastest-growing corridors. Delivering that connection meant understanding ground conditions along an extended and geologically varied corridor, informing planning, design and delivery of new metro infrastructure end to end.
Geotesta’s investigations (drilling and sampling, geological logging, laboratory testing and groundwater monitoring) tracked how subsurface conditions and geotechnical constraints shifted along the alignment, with findings consolidated into interpretive reports written for a design and construction audience rather than as raw data. Working directly alongside designers, engineers and construction teams kept that information practical and applicable rather than purely academic.
That close collaboration helped the project team manage geotechnical risk, refine design outcomes and keep one of Sydney’s most significant transport projects moving toward delivery.
